Gehry's Guggenheim
The flowing and moving curves of Frank Ghery's Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain were the inspiration for this piece. Created in pencil to allow the subtleties of the reflective surface to be featured. The building has an utterly moving feeling, which I tried to capture here. Four years after I drew this piece, I visited Bilbao and saw the Guggenheim while enrolled in an intensive architectural study abroad program through the Illinois Institute of Technology.
